Nina Ricci was born in Turin in January 1883 and opened her own haute couture house in Paris. Success was swift and as a dress designer, Madame Ricci had a wonderful flair for highlighting the personality of her clients. Ricci tried her hand in perfume making with her "Nina" perfume, then introducing "Premier Jour" and "L'Air Du Temps", as well as the popular "Les Belles" line of fragrances.
The kittenish, deep pink packaging of Ricci Ricci with its big bow hides a complex and audacious alloy of sweet enticement comprised of delectable rhubarb, fresh bergamot, the heady night queen flower, Indian tuberose, rose cent folia (May rose), sultry patchouli and creamy sandalwood.
